Gensler

SUMMER 2019 • DESIGN CONSULTANT INTERN

As a Design Consultant Intern at Gensler, one of my major tasks was to help create change management strategies for Fortune 500 companies by:

  • Analyzing user-feedback data

  • Summarizing key findings

  • Developing narratives that would inform the change management framework

  • Making sure the new workplace environment meets the needs and wants of the organization and its employees

I also had the opportunity to familiarize myself with (1) data visualization on Power BI and (2) Gensler's Experience Index, which is a compilation of studies investigating the factors that go into creating positive spatial experiences.

For our Intern Project, I led a 3-person team to develop a masterplan for the Long Island Recovery Center, a rehabilitation center that will be built on one of Boston's harbor islands in the next few years.

The 12-week project involved researching our users, understanding our users needs, programming, branding, and designing the new facility. Every aspect of the masterplan had to tie back to our over-arching concept. We showcased our final presentation to the firm and received extremely positive feedback from Gensler's Managing Directors. 😊
